Toni Markham is a fully qualified, experienced yoga teacher who teaches yoga to the local King’s Lynn community.
Toni believes that yoga can help us lead a healthy, fulfilled and balanced life. Through regular practice, we develop positive wellbeing for our body, heart and mind.
In addition to her British Wheel of Yoga Diploma in Teaching Yoga (500 hours), Toni is qualified to teach Yin Yoga, pregnant students within a mixed-level/general class, Kids and Teen Yoga (from the age of 3 years) and Laughter Yoga.
Here & Now Yoga offers community group classes, workshops, yoga days, one-to-ones, hen party and celebration practices, relaxation classes and corporate wellbeing sessions.
Toni has been teaching yoga since 2009, bringing many years of experience to her teaching and the local yoga community. Alongside her yoga teaching, Toni worked as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in the NHS from 1999 to 2015. In 2020, she returned to the NHS part-time as a Clinical Support Worker as part of the Covid-19 NHS response.
Toni loves attending yoga and meditation classes for her own personal practice, meditation retreats, specialised study days and conferences.
Since qualifying as a yoga teacher in 2011, Toni has upheld high professional standards through continual development and training, including a valid certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Safeguarding training.
Toni’s own yoga journey began in 2001 following a serious motorbike accident. In 2002 a physiotherapist recommended that she join a remedial yoga class with Margaret Ward, a local British Wheel of Yoga teacher who, until retirement, taught community classes in King’s Lynn.
Alongside her rehabilitation, her yoga practice with Margaret supported her recovery both physically and mentally. Today, Toni continues to find support and solace through her personal yoga practice, in particular a daily meditation practice.
Toni is passionate about teaching yoga and dedicated to doing so with professionalism and compassion, making her yoga classes accessible to everybody.
