About Here & Now Yoga
Here & Now Yoga was established in 2009 while I was studying with the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) to complete the Diploma in Teaching Yoga (500 hours). I became a fully qualified teacher in 2011 and have since continued to practice and teach yoga.
My own yoga practice began in 2002, with my first teacher Margaret Ward. With growing positive personal experiences and interest I completed the BWY Foundation Course in 2005 as a prelude to becoming a teacher.
I am now fully qualified and registered with the BWY, which is the Sport England recognised national governing body for yoga. I hold a valid certificate in 'Emergency First Aid at Work' and Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS). I maintain my Continuing Professional Development by attending regular In-service Training Days with the BWY. My personal development continues through the study of yoga as I frequently attend study days, conferences, meditation classes and retreats provided by various organisations.
In May 2016 I completed Calm for Kids ‘Teaching Yoga to Children’ course (accredited by Yoga Alliance UK). I am fully qualified to teach yoga to children aged 2½ yrs to teens. I have fully complied with the British Wheel of Yoga Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding procedure. I am available to offer children yoga classes to pre-schools, schools, private one-to-one with guardian and groups.
At present I am teaching weekly group classes within the King's Lynn and surrounding area. Pre and post-natal students are welcome to join the mixed ability classes and I am happy for 14 year old+ to attend with an appropriate adult. I also provide one-to-one, couples and small private group sessions, including children's yoga classes. During the summer I have enjoyed teaching private Hen Parties along the North Norfolk coast.
My personal daily yoga practice is meditation. I maintain my physical wellbeing through regular asana practices several times a week.
I currently live in West Norfolk with my partner and love to walk our beautiful beaches and countryside.
I express my gratitude to all those who have and continue to guide and encourage me in Yoga.
